My Child at School - MCAS App
The My Child at School app will launch in September 2025
At Castle Newnham, we understand how important it is for families to receive timely information about how their child is doing in school.
As part of our effort to improve our communications and enhance administrative approaches, we have already transitioned away from our previous current School Information Management System (SIMS) to a new system called Bromcom. This move took place over February half term holidays 2025.
Bromcom is a modern, user-friendly platform that integrates a number of our existing platforms into one, so that over time you will have one application to use for all information relating to your child and their experience at Castle Newnham. With its advanced features, Bromcom will allow us to manage attendance, behaviour, communication and other key aspects of student life much more effectively, including integrating payment systems and other services too.
As part of a Multi-Academy Trust (BEST), all schools in the trust made the decision to transition to the new platform together.
My Child at School is a web-based portal to give families access to information on their child through a webpage or App.
What can I see on MCAS?
Whole School
From September, we will no longer be using ParentMail as our whole school communication and payment tool. The new system, Bromcom, has its own platform/app called My Child At School (MCAS) for which there is further information below.
Primary
In addition to communication and payments, we will no longer be using Track-It Lights for behaviour and instead this information will be accessed through MCAS.
Secondary
In addition to communication and payments, we will no longer be using Class Charts for behaviour or absence reporting - this information will be accessed through MCAS.
What do I need to do before September 2025?
This side of the summer break we would like to ask all parents/carers to sign up to MCAS by either downloading the app from your relevant app store or go to mychildatschool.com and sign up using the school postcode (MK40 3EP for Reception to Year 6 (September 2025) and MK41 9DT for Year 7 to Year 11 (September 2025)) and your email address that is associated to school. Please however do not delete any other school related apps until we return in September. IF your child will no longer be attending Castle Newnham in September 2025 you do not need to download the app.
